Meet The Staff
Cissy Guidry
Owner/Director
Cissy is a graduate of Stage One The Hair School and McNeese State University with a degree in Liberal Arts. She has 25+ years of industry experience. Working as a stylist at PG & Company Salon, she used her Pivot Point Education, which she truly believes is the foundation for success in the cosmetology industry.
Cissy has worked in all aspects of our school from freshmen class to clinic floor chemicals.
She enjoys teaching students to see, think, create and adapt as beauty professionals using the most innovative techniques in the industry today.
Talia Young
Director of Education/Phase 2 Instructor
Talia is a graduate of Stage One The Hair School with 20+ years of industry experience. She started her cosmetology career at Scarborough’s Salon and has been a member of our team for 20 years.
Talia is an invaluable part of our Stage One The Hair School who excels at guiding students step by step to develop their unique style as an artist. She takes great pride in the quality of the Pivot Point education that gives Stage One students an edge in their journey to beauty industry success.
Kendra LaCombe
Clinic Floor Sculpt Design Instructor
Kendra is a graduate of Stage One The Hair School and has 7+ years of industry experience. She has taught with us for 7 years.
In teaching her students, she helps them understand proper styling and sculpting techniques. Using the Pivot Point system she guides students through the importance of communication in consultation and finishing designs.
Kendra has a big heart when it comes to her students. She is a team player and always willing to help from her co-workers to students. Her experience and creative interests translate to assisting students to understand and express their artistic vision with hair.
Amanda Moore
Small Group Training/Substitute Instructor
Amanda is a graduate of Stage One The Hair School and has many years of industry experience.
She has worked in salons in Lake
Charles and is the current owner of Diversity Salon. Amanda is also an in-salon trainer for a local salon and teachers advanced
education including styling, skin services and waxing in many Lake Charles salons.
Amanda is well versed in Pivot Point’s cutting-edge digital platform LAB, which allows easy access to our library of online
educational content. She has a great passion for setting students up for success.
Kelley Fendley
Phase 1 Instructor
Kelley graduated from Stage One The Hair School and has 17+ years of industry experience. She is our newest team member.
Kelley has worked in salons in the Moss Bluff area and is currently a stylist in a salon there.
Kelley has brought energy and innovation to the Phase 1 class while at the same time teaching our Pivot Point system which
creates consistent, impressive and predictable results.
Carrie Marler
Color/National Test instructor
Carrie is a graduate of Stage One The Hair School and has 7+ years of industry experience. She has taught with us for 3 years.
In teaching our students, she helps them build skills, proficiency, and confidence in color design, balayage, modern highlighting techniques and color formulation. Carrie creates students who become top tier entry-level professionals upon completion of their training.
Her experience at Dermalogix and Cheveaux Salons has helped her gain a great attention to detail and create confident salon colorists.
